Helping with Local Projects

The Red Feather Historical Society has several types of projects that volunteers can take part in. For instance:

  • Placing historic site signs on buildings or at sites (see below for more information)
  • Writing a personal history about a person, place or event in the Red Feather or Livermore areas (see below for more information)
  • Leading or participating in a tour
  • Plus other projects
The Historic Sites & Signage Project

If you have or own a historic building or site in the area, one that was built before 1950, the Red Feather Historical Society would like to include it in our historic site project. We will provide a sign to identify your historic site. For examples, please see the Historic Site Signage page.

If you are interested, please read through and complete the criteria and release form, and email us at info@redfeatherhistoricalsociety.org.

The People History of the Red Feather Area Project

Help preserve the history of homes, businesses and sites in Red Feather Lakes and the surrounding area. We’re interested in oral and written histories of people, plus your own personal history if you’ve lived her for a while. Also, if you have historic photographs, please share them with us so we can scan them. We enjoy featuring these histories and photos in albums, at the RFL Community Library, and on our website.

For examples, please visit the personal histories page.

If you’re interested in getting involved in one or more of our projects, please fill out the Volunteer form above, or email us at: info@redfeatheristoricalsociety.org.

Purchasing Our Products

We have a variety of products for sale, like books, posters, postcards, RADA cutlery, and more. Check them out on our Products page.

Donating

As a nonprofit organization, donations (they’re tax deductible!) can really help, no matter how small. If you feel inspired to make a donation, you can do so here.

Serving on the Board

Red Feather Historical Society Board members serve two-year terms. We meet regularly (usually monthly), plan our programs and tours, participate in our events, and more. If you’re interested in learning more, please note your interest on the Volunteer form above, or email us at info@redfeatherhistoricalsociety.org.
