The Park was established in 2006 by the Mountain Lions Club.  That same year the Hughes Family agreed to move the Veteran’s Memorial to the park.  In 2015 the Mountain Lions Club completed the expansion of the memorial for future generations.  The memorial is for the names of all veterans connected to the Red Feather Lakes area. Active, Retired, or Deceased. It is not just for DAV or VFW; it is for peacetime service as well. This is an Honorary Appreciation of their service to our Country.  THANK YOU AND THE VETERAN YOU ARE HONORING!

The cost for a name to be placed on the memorial is $120. Upon receipt of your completed form and check for payment, the name will be added to the next engraving session (usually annually). Complete one form per name requested.
