author of Strange but True
John Hafnor is a historian and award-winning author. His Strange but True… series has garnered considerable acclaim, including being named a National Best Book Award Finalist. Hafnor’s passionate research into histories of the American West lays the foundation for his first novel. Growing up in rural South Dakota, Hafnor became fascinated by tales of his homesteading grandfather, Grover Cleveland “Cleve” Berry. Of particular interest to Hafnor was the friendship between his grandfather and neighbor James Stands For Them.
