Sugarbabe interview – Ellis Island

In this audio interview on April 28, 2000, Sugarbabe relays how she arrived in the US, stayed on Ellis Island — she had a small son with her — and how Mapelli, her husband, couldn’t be contacted to collect her on Denver or even vouch for her because he was in Texas on some cattle drive. Evidently they reached his brother.
